Rental Terms & Conditions

1. Security Deposit

A refundable security deposit is required for all gear and trailer rentals, payable before collection. The deposit is refunded within 3–5 business days after return, less any deductions for damage, missing items, or excessive cleaning.

2. Rental Period & Late Returns

Rental fees are charged per day. Items not returned by the agreed return date and time will incur a late fee of 1.5x the daily rate per day overdue, unless prior arrangement has been made.

3. Damage & Loss

  • Renters are responsible for equipment for the full duration of the rental period.
  • Repair or replacement costs for damaged or lost items will be deducted from the security deposit; any shortfall will be invoiced separately.
  • Normal wear and tear is excluded.

4. Condition on Return

Items must be returned clean and in the condition they were issued. A cleaning fee may be charged for items returned excessively dirty (e.g. mud, sand, food residue).

5. Cancellations

  • Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the rental start date: full refund.
  • Cancellations within 48 hours: 50% of the booking value is forfeited.
  • No-shows: full booking value is forfeited.

6. Identification

A valid South African ID or passport, plus proof of address, is required at collection for all bookings.

7. Liability

Campready is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from the use of rented equipment. Renters use all gear at their own risk and are encouraged to inspect items at collection.
